Plan
Plan shows an agent’s plan as a checklist before anything runs. Every step shows its reach. People edit, reorder or strike steps, and a step that loses something it needs is flagged before the plan can start.
The agent planned a rent review in six steps. Strike step 2 and step 3 is flagged, because it needs the comparables. Drag step 3 above step 1 and it’s flagged again. Fix the plan, run it, and it waits for you at the step only you can do.
Anatomy
When to use
- Before an agent runs a task of more than two steps: a rent review, a month-end close, a tenant onboarding.
- When some steps can’t be undone. People strike or lower them before they run, not after.
- Not for a single action. Mark its reach on the button instead (Seal).
Behaviour
| Change | What happens | Who |
|---|---|---|
| Strike a step | It won’t run; steps that need it are flagged | Person |
| Move a step | A step placed before one it needs is flagged | Person |
| Edit a step | Its words turn to ink, marked as edited by you | Person |
| Lower reach | Act becomes prepare; never the other way past its ceiling | Person |
| Run | Steps run in order as one job Brake can pause; the plan stops at a person’s step | The agent |
A flagged plan doesn’t run. The flag names the step it needs and why, so the fix is one tap away.
Best practices
- Write each step as an action and its object: “Pull three comparable rents”, not “Comps”.
- Show reach on every step, including the ones only a person can do.
- Say what each step needs, and check the order before running, not during.
- Estimate the time in words: “about 2 min”.
Accessibility
- The plan is an ordered list. Each grip moves its step with the arrow keys and announces the new position.
- Each reach button names the step’s reach and what tapping it will do.
- Flags are text under the step, not colour alone.
- Running announces where the plan waits and when it finishes.
