Promise

Promise shows everything the model has scheduled for later, as tokens on a timeline. Each token says what will happen, when, and whether the model will act or only prepare. Open one to move it, cancel it or run it now. Nothing the model will do later is invisible.

Live specimen

Four jobs are scheduled. A full mark acts on its own; a half mark prepares the work for you. Open the interest cover test and run it now, or cancel the chaser and undo it from the murmur.

Anatomy

When to use

  • Whenever the model can act later: follow-ups, reminders, scheduled checks, month-end jobs.
  • Wherever people ask what the model is going to do. The answer should fit on one screen.
  • Not for the person’s own calendar. Promise lists the model’s commitments, not meetings.

Run nowRuns as one job Brake can pause; the token shows Done and the resultThe model, at the token’s reach

A prepare token never acts. When its time comes, it leaves the work ready for you and says so.

Best practices

  • Write each token as an action and its object: “Re-run the interest cover test”, not “Covenant job 4”.
  • Give the reason in one line, from what the model saw.
  • Show reach on every token, and keep act and prepare visibly different.
  • Keep every scheduled job in one place. A promise that lives only in a chat thread is a hidden one.
DoName the action, the time and the reach.
Don’tDon’t let the model promise in passing. A promise people can’t find is one they can’t cancel.

Accessibility

  • The timeline is an ordered list labelled “Scheduled model work”; each day carries its date in text.
  • Each token is a button with an expanded state; its actions follow it in reading order.
  • Moving announces the new day. Running streams its result into a live region.
  • Reach is written on every token, not only shown by the mark.
